Legal assessment of policies with legal enforceability that address built environment considerations relevant to walking [and possibly cycling] in each Australian state and territory. This will mainly cover legislation (Acts, Regulations) and state/territory-wide statutory instruments, and will generally exclude non-statutory instruments (e.g. non-binding guidelines, operational policies). The review will include any instruments that have been approved or gazetted, even if they have not yet commenced but will not include any draft instruments or instruments enacted outside of the review period (although the latest version of any draft instruments will be reviewed where available, and cautionary notes made where appropriate to highlight any significant differences with the existing instruments).
